and the painting


...remembering that the hand needs to be finished.

There'll probably some fine-tuning later, but overall I am pleased with the effect. It breaks my usual "likes" - I like my paintings to be neat and tidy up close, and this one is very loose and "painterly", a look I am tending towards with the outdoor public art.

The glass is convincingly 3-dimensional but I would like the hand to appear to be further up in the air than the palette, so I need to push the palette back a fraction and elevate the hand. One day.
